Welcome to the 35th Meeting of WWRF

Theme of the Meeting: Driving 5G Development and Deployment

Over the past couple of years 5G has been in the headlines globally for many conferences, new projects and naturally also as elements in industrial plans, visions and specific implementation plans. The 35th WWRF meeting will continue the focus on the development and deployment of 5G featuring speakers from industry, academia and public institutions to discuss the specific implementation elements of 5G. In particular, this meeting will feature the launch of a new working group V2X, to bring together the automotive and wireless industries to examine how 5G can support vehicular communications and services. This will be the first of a number of so-called VIA working groups to be launched by WWRF and contributions on this subject are particularly welcomed. The meeting will follow on the WWRF 5G Huddle and offer possibilities for further discussions in both plenum, through invited and key note speakers, and in Working Group sessions. There will be working groups in four areas: User Needs & Requirements in a Secure Environment in different Socio-Economic settings; Services, devices and service architectures; Communication architectures and technologies; and Radio Communication Technologies, in addition to the newly launched V2X group
